At Princeton Presbyterian we maintain a prayerful devotion to the simple, unadorned means of grace in which Christ is pleased to present himself and communicate with his people – the ministry of the Word and the administration of the sacraments of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. God has chosen the “foolishness” of the message of the cross to save those who believe, and he has called his church to preach the Word and to remember and proclaim His name in the receiving of the bread and wine. These simple means are exactly what God has given for us to grow in Christian maturity and to persevere in our pilgrimage to glory (Acts 2:42; Rom. 10:17; 6:3-4; I Cor. 11:23-26).
